Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat ordered member of Jakarta Inter-Population Radio (RAPI) to join in monitoring and helping delivering information regarding social condition in Jakarta.

With RAPI, we can get accurate information and minimize confusion

The information presented is can be in form of brawl, drug trafficking, flood, landslide, etc.

"We indeed have monitoring program through closed circuit television (CCTV) camera. Installation target of 6,000 units this year is still lacking. That's why we want RAPI to help us to monitor and inform our city condition," he stated, on the sidelines of meeting with Jakarta RAPI at City Hall, Tuesday (2/12).

According to him, with radio frequency belongs to RAPI, the information can be delivered maximally. Moreover, most information on the recent social media are still confusing.

"With RAPI, we can get accurate information and minimize confusion," he expressed.

He exemplified that important information from RAPI is regarding water level condition in the sluice gate.

"We know water level at every sluice from RAPI. It is very accurate," he exclaimed.

Meanwhile, Jakarta RAPI Chairman, Rizal Fikri admitted will run Djarot's request.

"We drop our personnel to the field to know water level condition. That's why we have accurate information," he finished.
